Embellish It - Week 3 (Layout 75)

For Tans Embellishment comp. this week, the criteria was.......

This week's challenge is for you to also create something ( a layout or an OTP) using the following five points:

1. hand stitching

2. felt

3. beads

4. bling / rhinestones

5. doodling

Let me clarify the criteria; those five 'things' mentioned above (hand stitching, felt, beads, bling / rhinestones and doodling) have to appear on the layout/ project somewhere, BUT you have to create a handmade embellishment too (using one or more of those five points as mentioned above).

So I got that one done, (Aunty Jenny....I finally used my beaded butterfly on the bottom RH corner you taught me to make a few years ago!! Lol, knew I would one day)

Also a card for my nephew Dillon (Still blown away that he turned 18 yesterday!!)which is also done for June challenge # 4 for MAD. Had to use lots of ink, so I inked ther background, stamped Happy Birthday all over it, stamped a border with ink splats and went over the lot with champagne ink to give it a shimmer, then stuck on the 18 with foam numbers. Heres my layouts for my class at Scraphappys last night...thanks to the girls that attended, I had a good night!!
I have done three layouts this week for my next class, so I can't show yas yet!! Nearly halfway through the layout count for this year....can't believe I've done that many, it sure doesn't seem like it....I don't think I'll get much done in July as I'll be having too much fun doing end of month, BAS and Tax.....NOT!!
YAY, I made it through week 2 of 'Embellish It' competition...off to work on week 3's 'Stitch It' hmmmm....lots of criteria on this one!! thinking, thinking.........

Layout 69 - Lisa K's kit

This layout I done for MAD challenge 1 of 4 for June. Criteria was to use the quote given and minimum of two circles. I used one of Lisa K's kits, they are fantastic kits, value for money!!All I have added to this one is the two butterflies and the date journal block. If you haven't done so before, do yourself a favour and go here to check her blog, she puts new kits up at the start of every month and they are only $10 each . Some of the packs I will get 4-5 layouts from. VALUE!! Well thats all I have done this week, hopefully will produce some goodness over the weekend!! Cya Pauly xx

Out of the Hat June challenge

The one and only thing I created for the long weekend (and that was last night!!) was for my take on this months Out Of the Hat challenge. Criteria this month was multi photos (more than three), mixed alphas for title and staples and doodling. Go check out the new forum started this month.

Photo for you mum of our 'million dollar' driveway you heard about on the weekend.....well $2528.84 to be precise. Way better than it was, but considering I was expecting about $800 worth, for that money I want a freeway!!! Pretty sure Dad would have done way better!!

Andrew had Saturday off so I went up to the workshop to try and keep Rob under control....we left there about 3.30...then dunno what happened to the rest of the day?? Sunday we drove to Albury to see Al in hospital....he's in pretty good spirits considering they just took off three of his toes!! Yesterday we had a sleep in, went for lunch, helped out with some new tyres for some people that wouldn't have made it back to Melbourne. Came home, washed my Harley and then just had to get on and give it a burl....Rob came with me...YES his first ride since his hip replacement!! I couldn't get the grin off his face all night!!! Lol, it was only a short ride, but I bet there will be no stopping him now!!! Thanks for stopping by....cheerio...Pauly xx

Well thats been me for the last couple of weeks while stuck inside with the dreaded flu!!! I think I'm on the tail end of it now........hoping so anyway!! One set of those ATC's took me two days to plough through!! Hope you are all enjoying your long weekend!! Cya Pauly

Hardly got anything to show......I have only done my DT work for Scraphappy Kats (and can only show a little sneak peek yet) for this Friday night coming, and one little ATC I made last night for a challenge at Born2Create with a pirate theme. Went to Melbourne at the end of last week and seen the Jersey Boys, it was AWESOME! Lol, I'm glad it was really loud but, as no-one could hear me sniffing the whole way through it!! I have had the flu all week, but I wasn't gonna miss out!!! I am hoping I'm on the tail end of it now, as I'm totally over it! Just got the annoying tickle in the throat, otherwise feel okay (just). Off to cook some tea and hopefully scrap a little later tonight. Thanks for stopping by....Paulyxx
